Changelog
What changed, and when
The viewer and the engine ship together. Anything marked unreleased is built and notarised but not public yet.
1.0 (3)
September 2026not released- Settings window rebuilt: the layout and colour choices say what they change, and three thresholds that decide which rules are drawn at all are reachable for the first time.
- A confidence floor, and switches for the current-state layer and for draft rules. Hidden rules leave the scene entirely — colour ranges, clustering and node sizes are recomputed from what survives, and the count that is hidden shows in the top bar.
- Menu bar and keyboard shortcuts for search, zoom, pinning and relayout.
- A first-run screen that tells you which of the three things is missing and gives you the command for it, instead of an unreadable-database error.
- The window is dark whatever the system is set to. The scene's palette was built against a dark ground; the welcome screen used to draw black text on it for anyone running a light Mac.
1.0 (1)
September 2026not released- The identity is one scene filling the window, replacing the three-pane split that turned the picture into a table of contents.
- Four arrangements — free, constellation, grid and ring — and four ways to colour: by subject, by layer, by confidence, by reach.
- Rules sized in three steps by how many subjects they turn up in; the ones that cut across everything wear a ring.
- Search that marks matches in place, drag to pin a node, click empty space to dismiss.
- Signed with a Developer ID, hardened runtime, notarised by Apple.
The engine
The engine has its own history, and it is longer than this one — it has been reading and distilling for months. Its commits are in the repository, where the reasoning for each change is in the message rather than summarised here.
